Playground Mulch has a chipped structure instead of shredded strands, making it perfect for children's playgrounds. The mulch is more square giving it bounce and making it less prone to splinters. When laying mulch in areas where children play, a depth of 6-12 inches is recommended. A 9-inch depth is suitable for play structures up to 8 feet tall. The areas directly around any play structure should be deeper than areas away from potential fall zones.
