Screened Sand
Screened Sand is used in nearly every type of building and civil engineering project from bridges and roads to the concrete in every foundation and sidewalk. Screened Sand still has small pebbles in the final product making it the more coarse of the sand options we offer. Screened Sand is great for mixing concrete, asphalt, leveling out a bumpy lawn or top dressing a lawn.
Screened Sand is also useful in gardening. It can be mixed with light potting soil mixes to add weight and drainage for potted plants that don't like soggy soils. Screened Sand can also be used in propagating plant cuttings. Blueberries root well in a mixture of (1:1:1) course sand, ground pine bark and peat moss. Screened Sand, along with organic material can be added to clay soils to help with drainage and to aerate plant roots.
