Wheat Straw is a very popular product with endless possible uses. Wheat straw is the remaining hollow stalks left after the wheat harvest. It is different from hay which is made of dried grasses like alfalfa, fescue, Bermuda and oat grasses. Wheat Straw is commonly used as a mulch or for covering seeded ground to help protect the grass seed, giving it time to germinate.
Wheat Straw is a popular mulch for strawberries and many vegetable garden beds.
Loose Wheat Straw can also be used as bedding or insulation for cold-weather animal enclosures and shelters.
These Wheat Straw bales measure approximately 18" x 14" x 36" and weigh 30-40 lbs. each.
